South Australia has a proud history of early childhood excellence.
From this foundation, the Department for Education has been exploring contemporary evidence-based practices to build a system-wide strategy that will inform future priorities and partnerships to support children to fulfil their learning potential.
The Early Learning Strategy draft vision is: All young children thriving and learning.
The department’s Early Learning strategy aligns with the Child Development Council’s first annual report of population-level outcomes for children and young people from birth to 18 years, South Australia’s Outcomes Framework for Children and Young People How are they faring? South Australia’s 2020 Report Card for children and young people.
The Early Learning Strategy is also part of the department’s broader reform to achieve world-class learning and education in South Australia by 2028.
