Climate resilient hydropower

To tap energy from local wind effect of an expansive water body and to use it to re-pump water to upper reservoir of the same hydro facility.

How this will impact Adelaide's carbon emissions

This idea is based on two main concepts I.E;

1.The advantages of hydro power as a renewable energy source with low green house emissions and high ramp rate among others

2.Well designed PSP powered by renewable energy sources and sensitive to environmental considerations can offer an integrated solution to climate change and resource conservation which in turn can sustain hydro plants in full production capacity making it an invaluable tool.

This idea is geared to impact on carbon emissions in Adelaide and the larger south Australia in the following ways;
i. Decrease emission intensity of electricity generation in Adelaide and south Australia by making hydro generation more reliable and dependable
ii. Adelaide will be supplied with clean hydro power supplied to its homes,schools hospitals and government buildings reducing dependency on unfriendly sources of power
iii. Hydro plants will sustainably be able to run at full capacity in all seasons leading to reduced and in some cases eliminate dependency on environmentally unfriendly sources
In addition to recharging hydro ,during wet seasons,the wind energy can be used to power neighbouring homes,community facilities ,some systems of the hydro power plant or added up to the grid. This will subsequently reduce carbon emissions that would otherwise been generated by use of other sources of energy
